Besan Khaman Dhokla is a popular snack that you'll find in almost every Indian mithai shop. Rava Khaman dhokla is better popular among Indian homes as it's not commonly available. The Indian states of Gujarat, and Maharashtra are most likely to have this recipe as a common homemade dietary option.
This White Suji Khaman dhokla is quick to prepare recipes (under 15 minutes) for breakfast and snack time. It's an instant dhokla recipe that doesn't require presoaking time.
Suji Dhokla is a perfect healthy steamed snack option for vegetarian food lovers. It is light, spongy, and soft diet food tempered with the flavors of curry leaves.

Ingredients
For dhokla
- Fine Rava/Suji- 1 cup
- Curd-1 cup
- Salt-1 teaspoon
- Sugar-1/2 teaspoon
- Oil- 2 tablespoon
- Water-1/4 cup
- Fruit salt/Eno- 1/2 tablespoon / 1 sachet
- Green chili & ginger paste- 1 tablespoon (optional)
For Tadka
- Oil-1 teaspoon
- Mustard Seed- 1 teaspoon
- Slitted green chilies-2
- Curry leaves-10
Procedure to make Suji Dhokla
Step-1
In a mixing bowl take a cup of fine Rava.
Step-2
Add curd, salt, sugar, and oil to the semolina.
Step-3
Mix and combine them well together.
Step-4
Add water gradually to make a pouring consistency batter.
Step-5
Once done, cover and keep it aside for 2 minutes.
Step-6
Heat 2 cups of water in a steamer and bring it to a boil.
Step-7
Place the dhokla tray /plate into it.
Step-8
After 2 minutes, take out the hot plate and grease it with oil from the inside.

Add fruit salt with a dash of water to the prepared batter.

Mix gently to make a smooth and fluffy batter. Make sure to eliminate the air bubbles as that significantly affects the quality of the end product.

Pour the batter into the hot greased plate and tap on the platform to spread uniformly.

Place the filled plate into the steamer.

After 7 minutes, check with a toothpick or skewer. If it comes out of the dhokla clean, then it's done.

Take it out and set it aside for 5 minutes to cool. Then, using a knife, cut it into a diamond shape.

Meanwhile, heat a Tadka pan and add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies.

Once all starts crackling, put the Tadka over the prepared dhokla. You can also sprinkle freshly chopped coriander to garnish.
Final Serve
Yummilicious, soft, and spongy White Rava Dhokla is ready. Enjoy it as is, with green chutney or with tea for breakfast or during evening snack time.
