Healthy Veg Drumstick Soup Recipe or Sehjan ki Phalli soup recipe serves as a significant provider of dietary fiber and helps in weight loss.
I was discussing healthy vegetarian soup options for kids with my friend that should be unique, easy, quick to prepare at the convenience of home.
She suggested Veg Drumstick soup also known as the name "Sehjan ki Phali soup" which takes only 15 minutes to get prepared. It was quite interesting.
Although drumsticks aren't my obvious choice for a soup or even into regular meals. Still, I made my mind to try the drumstick soup recipe at least once for sure. And, discovered it as "the best" that should be listed further and frequently in my recipes collection.
And, this raised my mindset for

I loved the aroma of Drumsticks soup reminds me why it's included in south Indian recipes like Sambhar or Rasam.
I've combined drumsticks with onion, garlic, and bottle gourd to receive an appropriate texture, consistency, aroma, and an added health quotient.

Ingredients
- Drumstick (Sajen ki Fali)- 3
- Chopped Bottle guard-1 cup
- Onion- 1(chopped)
- Garlic-2 clove (optional)
- Oil-1 teaspoon
- Bay leaf-1
- Water- 2 cups
- Salt- 1/2 tablespoon (as per taste)
- Cashew nut-5-6
- Crushed black peppercorn-1 teaspoon
- Butter- 1 teaspoon (for top-up optional)
- Chopped green coriander- to garnish
Note: Wash Drumstick under freshwater thoroughly to remove all the dirt. Then, chopped them into 2'inch size sticks
Preparation Process

Add chopped onion. Saute' for 2 minutes.
Step-3
Add the bottle gourd and saute' for a minute.

Add drumstick and salt.

Add water and mix well.

Close the lid of the cooker and cook the soup mix on a medium flame for 7-8 minutes. Wait till the cooker release 6-7 whistles. Once the cooker releases its pressure open the lid.

Add cashew nut to the boiled mix. keep the mix aside to cool down.

Blend the mix with a hand blender to make a smooth puree.
Step-9
Take an empty bowl and strain the puree from the colander into it.

Heat the soup again and add black pepper and mix well.

Serve the hot and super healthy drumstick soup topped up with butter and fresh coriander.
